First Annual Brothers and Sisters Music Festival is just a few days away and we're shinin' a big ole spotlight on the other artists coming out to rock with Smoke that night.

First up: Unknown Hinson.

The self-proclaimed "king of country-western troubadours" Unknown Hinson writes and produces his own music that often parodies the dark elements of today's country and redneck culture. In early 2009, Hinson's 'Torture Town' won in The 8th Annual Independent Music Awards and Vox Pop vote for Best Alternative Country Song "Torture Town". Hinson, credited as Baker, provides the voice of Early Cuyler, a balding hillbilly squid from Georgia, on Cartoon Network's late night Adult Swim program, Squidbillies.

With the new Blackberry Smoke album 'The Whippoorwill' being available out on the road for all you amazing concert-goers, we asked you to share your stories from the shows and how much you are loving the new album. Bill Jackson from Tennessee is our fourth winner - there's a kick ass BBS fan pack headed your way for sharing your review Bill! Give it a read below:

Bill got his copy of 'The Whippoorwill' at the Buffalo River Resort Festival in Lobelville, TN on July 28.

Tell us - how was the show? Any crazy stories? Was it your first Blackberry Smoke live experience?

Up until the time the guys hit the stage, the only way I had heard them was either online or on CD. Man, was I in for a surprise! As "Up In Smoke" says, "Starin' at us like deer in the headlights"... that was pretty much the reaction from the crowd because most of them hadn't seen anything like Blackberry Smoke roll into town. Once the first note from Charlie's guitar hit their brains, it was Katie bar the door! Folks started dancing (or trying desperately to after large doses of alcohol), and the folks just kept on pressing in to witness the spectacle. You have to admit, it's a lot of fun to watch fat, drunk people trying to shake their money maker. HA!

For a first time experience seeing these guys live, hands down it was the BEST live show I have seen in ages! Flawless! I know there's a ton of folks from that show who weren't necessarily fans before, that are diehard, sold on the Smoke fans now. Having Charlie and Brit pop out on stage later on to help The Marshall Tucker Band with "Can't You See" was a great bonus ending to an awesome day! Can't wait for the chance to see them again!!

Review 'The Whippoorwill' for those unfortunate souls who haven't made it out to a show just yet and will pick up their copy on August 14. Tell 'em which song they should crank up first and which one brought a tear to your eye:

Here it goes Smoke Fans... Mr. Bill's Review of the best album to hit the airwaves in forever and a day. If you have the other Smoke albums, DO NOT HESITATE to pick this one up! Hit a show, grab a copy, meet freaky people, have a drink, rock out!

'Six Ways to Sunday': Great tune! The wordplay is awesome, and the music is just what you expect from the boys!

'Pretty Little Lie': Could be a great country tune making tons of cash for the Smoke boys if the Nashville powers would get away from auto-tuned divas and pretty boys and embrace REAL music!

'Everybody Knows She's Mine': I could see this one being a Southern wedding mainstay. Just one listen to this song and I think you'll agree!

'One Horse Town': Lord, if you came from a small town that seems to be stuck in a time warp then this is your anthem. You know the place; everyone knows everyone and kids are expected to toe the line and do the same things the men in their families have done for generations without question. This song show that it's alright to get the hell out at the first opportunity. Life's too short to be unhappy!

'Ain't Much Left of Me': Man, can I relate to this song! Think I found my new anthem with this one. This is a song for all the folks who've been kicked around, ripped up, beaten down by life, and still keep on truckin'! Never, never, never give up! If life gives you crap, throw it back in its face and tell it to get bent!

'The Whippoorwill': All I can say is music perfection. It's Blackberry Smoke... would you expect anything else?

'Lucky Seven': A cool song. It sneaks up on you like too much to drink. You're feeling all calm and then BAM! It's right there in your face rocking.

'Leave A Scar': Yes they will folks! This was the show opener at Lobelville, and talk about a way to grab folks up out of their seats! This says a lot about life; we might not get rich and famous, but everything we do has an impact on somebody, somewhere. The most we can hope for in life is to leave our mark on the world, or in the case of Blackberry Smoke, one huge, jagged, smoking scar. Don't go out quietly, slide that casket in on two wheels and scream, "Hot damn that was fun!"

'Crimson Moon': Old school southern rock legend feel to it... great background vocals... visions of Skynyrd dancing in my head... I like that!

'Ain't Got The Blue's: Aw Yeah! Bluesy, folksy, greatness wrapped up in a retro sound that grabs you and gets your feet to tapping. I think this is gonna be one of those classics that end up on a lot of playlists.

'Sleeping Dogs': These guys are experts in picking songs that folks can relate to, and this is yet another. Like the old saying goes, it's best to let sleeping dogs lie. If it's there and quiet, you'd best leave it alone or risk getting ripped to shreds. I think everyone has been in this place a time or two; we take so much and then we make some idiot pay for his stupidity by smashing him into the dirt. Yep. A great, turn it up. let it rip kind of stress relief song right here folks!

'Shaking Hands with the Holy Ghost': I just love the way these guys build a song up. I think they like to lull us for a second just to sucker punch us when the song kicks in. This one does just that... easy flowing at first and then it's churning along like a jacked up truck on mud tires that nothing will stop.

'Up The Road': Perfect end to a perfect album. It's like watching the closing scene of a movie where the hero gets everything he wants. Yep, this song is it. Sends this album out with a bang!

So that's it folks. If you don't have it, you need to get out there and snag a copy! Go see these guys live and live the Smoke experience! It's like having every southern rock legend you ever loved reborn right there in front of you on stage, and you'll be left wanting more!

With the new Blackberry Smoke album 'The Whippoorwill' being available out on the road for all you amazing concert-goers, we asked you to share your stories from the shows and how much you are loving the new album. Dan Woodworth from New York is our third winner - there's a kick ass BBS fan pack headed your way for sharing your review Dan! Give it a read below:

Dan got his copy of 'The Whippoorwill' at the WV Rumble In The Valley Biker Rally in Martinsburg, WV on June 16.

Tell us - how was the show? Any crazy stories? Was it your first Blackberry Smoke live experience?

The show was killer. This was my 4th show. First time in Jamestown, NY in 2010, Mansfield, PA in 2011 and Vegas Baby 2012. Martinsburg was the first time hearing some of the new stuff like 'Lucky Seven' and 'Holy Ghost.' We didn't want the show to end! So instead we listened to 'The Whippoorwill' about 5 times over on our 5 hour ride home the following day and haven't stopped listening to it since. Thank you for that!

The best stories of the night were just the entertainment from earlier in the day. There were hogs everywhere!! Oh yeah there were some bikes too. Some dancing to the bands earlier in the day will forever be tattoed in my brain. After that the anticipation heated up for the wet t-shirt contest. Woo hoo! Then I realized it was some of the same "ladies" in the "dancing crowd" that were also in the contest. Buzzkill. It was like looking directly at the sun. I was blinded for a little bit. Although there was one hot girl in it but she refused to take her shirt off. What a perfect time to have morals. Morals never won anybody any money. Don't worry though, the rest of them took it off and probably shouldn't have. You gotta give the crowd what they want, so they cheered for the least ugliest naked chested person in the contest Phil... err I mean Phyliss. $100 Bucks is a $100 Bucks. Did I mention Yokozuna was giving massages throughout the day. She would have been awesome in a sumo match with the mechanical bull. I love Bike Week!

Review 'The Whippoorwill' for those unfortunate souls who haven't made it out to a show just yet and will pick up their copy on August 14. Tell 'em which song they should crank up first and which one brought a tear to your eye:

Waiting until August 14th to get the new album was not an option, so I had to get to a show. I'm sure many of you also feel the same way. Now knowing that 'Six Ways,' 'Sleeping Dogs,' 'Everybody Knows,' and 'Leave A Scar' were gonna be on it, I knew it already had the makings of a kickass collection of songs. Well I was blown away. From start to finish there are no weak spots on this album. I don't know how to categorize these guys. There are songs that could be country hits and songs that could be rock hits and songs that could be both. They can do it all. I'm of the Southern rock opinion and that's how I approach it but it can go either way depending on how you look at it. So on to the song review...

'Six Ways To Sunday' gets you revved up from the start. "You knocked the angel right off of my shoulder, right away my lil devil took over." Nuff Said!

'Pretty Little Lie' has got a country feel but with an outlaw flair. Just an awesome tune.

'Everybody Knows She's Mine' is automatically been placed in my girlfriend and I's list of wedding songs. (Provided we get married of course). First of all because it's an upbeat song about your woman, and not that slowed down tear in your champagne first dance silliness everyone else does like "wind beneath my wings" or something. It's a party. Act like it. Get the joint Smokin and get your hands up as high as a Georgia Pine!

'One Horse Town' has got country radio greatness written all over it. A great tune that fits the mold of a '90s country song when country had a resurgance. I'm not a big fan of the newer stuff coming out. Just too much powder puff silliness. This goes back to when country songs had real meanings and weren't talking about tractors being sexy or red solo cups being red.

'Ain't Much Left Of Me' is kinda like going to hell and back. You went in swingin' and nobody thought you had a chance but you just keep coming back for more. Anybody for a new Rocky movie?

'The Whippoorwill' is a personal favorite. It reminds me of the Black Crowes song 'Good Friday.' If you are a Black Crowes fan this is a standout song on the album. Love, love, love it. Is there anybody better to be influenced by?

'Lucky Seven' was a surprise to me because of how good it is. You go through the first six and think I'm gearing up for 'Sleeping Dogs' coming up soon. Then this songs comes at ya and you think Sweet Jesus, I'm in heaven!

'Leave A Scar' fits the mold of some earlier stuff like 'Freeborn Man.' Fast and kick ass. If you still haven't gotten the first album 'Bad Luck Ain't No Crime'..... WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITIN FOR!!?

'Crimson Moon' is a song that was new to me from listening to it on the album. Is there any better reason why my girlfriend and I are turning into roadies? What a rockin' tune. Kind of a little bluesy feel to it. Like the addition of the backup singer chickies as well. I said these guys can do it all, didn't I?

'Ain't Got The Blues' has a sweet intro ala Hank Williams tear in my beer sound. Doesn't get any better than that now does it? Picks up nicely into a old fashioned foot stomper all the way through. Sweet!

'Sleeping Dogs' Have you ever been in a bar hanging out just keepin' to yourself when some jackass wants to start trouble just because he can and decides to pick you? Guess what? Picked the wrong dog to wake up. Personally love the song live cause the breakdown in between and the jam that ensues is just awesome. One of the highlights of the show.

'Shakin' Hands With The Holy Ghost' Oh boy this song has that sweet little start up to it and then kicks into high gear like the AC/DC song War Machine.' AC/DC my all time favorite band. Somebody's sneaking up on them. Heard this song for the first time in Martinsburg and I said oooooo I like this song!

'Up The Road' slows you back down like the end of a roller coaster ride. Your screamin' for joy throughout the whole ride but you know it's coming to an end and you don't want it to.This my friends is your tearjerker cause it ends the album. Just a flat out good tune. I say keep the seatbelt strapped tight and go for another thrill ride. Crank this baby up to 11 from start to finish!

Thanks for sharing and for your support, Dan!

In light of the new album 'The Whippoorwill' being available out on the road for all you awesome concert-goers, we asked you to share your stories from the shows and how much you are loving the new album. Suzi White from Kentucky is our second winner - there's a kick ass BBS fan pack headed your way for sharing your story Suzi! Give it a read below:

Suzy got her copy of 'The Whippoorwill' at Jim Porter's Emporium in Louisville, KY on June 17.

Tell us - how was the show? Any crazy stories? Was it your first Blackberry Smoke live experience?

This was my second show and it was as amazing as the first, actually maybe a little more amazing since it featured so many songs from "The Whippoorwill." My big bro, Keith Newsome, introduced me to Blackberry Smoke and insisted I see them at Buster's in Lexington, KY last summer. My husband and I were hooked from the get go! The show in Louisville was special because we brought along a friend- who is now hooked as well! No crazy stories but I do crack up (on the inside of course) when I remember parking at the Emporium in Louisville and getting a text from my brother that said "HURRY UP SIS! THEY ARE LIGHTING THE INCENSE!"

It is not just your music that is amazing! It is the hard work you put into your shows AND the meeting of fans afterwards that blows my mind. How such talented musicians remain so humble and down home is beyond me. No EGO maniacs allowed apparently.

Our (almost) 16 year old son is special needs with several different brain disorders. He gets to come to the show Saturday at the Buchanan County Fairgrounds. Look for him! He will be the kid in the Blackberry Smoke t-shirt with the blue mohawk belting our your tunes to the top of his lungs.

Review 'The Whippoorwill' for those unfortunate souls who haven't made it out to a show just yet and will pick up their copy on August 14. Tell 'em which song they should crank up first and which one brought a tear to your eye:

"The Whippoorwill" is my favorite Blackberry Smoke album yet. It kicks off with a rockin' "Six Ways to Sunday" that even though I am a serious Baptist Christian I cannot seem to get offended by. It slides into "Pretty Little Lie" which features a melody that is just haunting enough to get stuck in your head and then you find youself singing along with "Everybody Knows She's Mine," a feel good song about love, lust and the works. Best part of that one for me? Remembering standing beside my brother Keith and him fist pumping and singing the line, "I'm the luckiest man in the world!" while his beautiful wife smiled at him. GOOD STUFF!

The next three songs are my favorite and just happen to be in the sequence I would have chosen (great work guys!) "One Horse Town" makes me weep. It brings up so many memories of my one horse town I grew up in. This song is pure poetry with a melodious tugging of the heartstrings. "Ain't Much Left Of Me" is my personal favorite at the moment because I relate to the struggles of life and the toll it takes. Awesome song. Period. "The Whippoorwill"...haunting...bluesy....speaks to so many topics on so many levels, love lost, love found, spiritual longing, worldy longing. Fantastic and is even better live! "Lucky Seven" and "Leave a Scar" are songs that make you tap your toes and roll the windows down. "Crimson Moon," when this is your least favorite song on the album and it is as good as this one, well that's how you know "The Whippoorwill" is an unbelievable collection of songs.

"Ain't Got the Blues" is another favorite. No matter how bad my day has been I cannot listen to this song without at least SMILING! It reminds me of an old timey song (think Hank Sr.) but with an almost gospel feel to it. Love it! "Sleeping Dogs," I have liked this song for a long time even before "The Whippoorwill." I love how it makes no apologies for being bad ass.  "Shakin' Hands with the Holy Ghost" is not a favorite (Baptist faith peeking through perhaps? LOL) but I cannot help but love the lyrical flow of the song and have to sing along! "Up the Road," this song gives me chills every time. It's perfect placing at the end of album and gives you a chance to belt out all of your pain and frustrations just before it goes back to "Six Ways to Sunday" and the whole trip begins again!

Sorry for the long review but every song is excellent and deserves acknowledgment. My favorite music in a very long time! Have and will continue to wear it out.

Thanks for sharing and for your support, Suzi!

Don't forget - 'The Whippoorwill' is now available for pre-order right here on BlackberrySmoke.com.
