Voodoo Music Festival final day brought out Halloween madness with The Comet bloggers Blackberry Smoke, Janelle Monae, MGMT, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and headliners My Morning Jacket. The Comet’s Allia Smith reports from New Orleans’ City Park and gives a list of highlights. Along with the beautiful weather, everything that is fascinating and inspiring about music emerged from Sunday’s lineup at Voodoo. And who doesn’t want to spend Halloween in New Orleans? BLACKBERRY SMOKE: Our very own bloggers, Blackberry Smoke, brought their all-American Southern rock to the Sony stage and played the perfect tunes for the hot afternoon.
